Cruising to Central America
I recently returned from a fun cruise to Central America and Grand Cayman. This page depicts some of the highlights of cruising and
visits to Belize, Roatán, and Grand Cayman. Nothing beats the blue waters of the Caribbean and the warm, tropical temperatures.
I had the pleasure of trying scuba diving and also snorkeling at the barrier reef of Grand Cayman. There was a wide variety of food on the
cruise ship. Some memorable meals included: lamb shanks, lobster tails, escargot, frog legs, Thai soup, fresh fish, cold fruit soups,
Indian vegetarian meals, and tons of homemade desserts. There was a taco buffet, sushi bar, and one special chocolate buffet on the
last day. It's great because I was able to meet lots of people from all over the world. This particular ship had staff from many South
Asian countries, and also Eastern Europe. There is entertainment every night and plenty of shore excursion options to do while docked,
or anchored at a port.
First stop: Belize
First stop was supposed to be Costa Maya, Mexico, but due to high winds and waves, the ship was unable to dock. Waters were calmer upon approaching the coast of Belize.

Second Stop: Roatán
Roatán is an island on the northern coast of Honduras.

Third Stop: Grand Cayman

On the final day of the cruise there was a chocolate buffet. Pictured below are fruit carvings and an ice sculpure. Although you can't see anything chocolate, there was a chocolate fountain, chocolate cheesecake, chocolate truffles, and pretty much every other type of dessert imagineable made with chocolate!!

How can you not love the towel animals that you find in your
room each day!!??
